Accuracy & editorial policy
Our accuracy rule is simple: no claim without a named, dated source. If we cannot source it, the listing shows an honest gap — "not yet documented" — plus the question to ask the restaurant. We would rather show a gap than a guess, because in this niche a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer.
Menus, ingredients, suppliers, and kitchen practices change without notice, and cross-contact can occur in any non-dedicated kitchen. Dates on this site are therefore part of the information, not decoration: check the "last confirmed" date on any claim before relying on it, and always confirm current practice with the restaurant before ordering.
When a diner reports a problem — a reaction, a protocol that was not followed, a closed restaurant — the listing is flagged for re-check, the report is logged with its date, and a credible unresolved incident demotes the tier until the restaurant’s documentation is re-confirmed. Corrections appear in the listing’s public change log.
What we will not publish
- A claim with no named source and no date.
- Reviews, testimonials, or endorsements we cannot attribute to a real, checkable origin — so, none at all.
- Named individual "experts" or authors who do not exist. This site is run by its operator (see About), and pages say so.
- A hub page for a city or category too thin to be useful — thin hubs are simply not generated.
Corrections are handled under the corrections policy and logged publicly on each listing.
